Fredrik Croneborg segrare i Ironman Malaysia

Efter att ha kommit tvåa på tävlingen de två senaste åren var Fredrik Croneborg i lördags snabbast av alla på Ironman Malaysia. Därmed tog han också sin första Ironmanseger. Grattis!

För detta Falubon Fredrik Croneborg fick igår alltså kliva högst upp på pallen när Ironman Malaysia avgjordes i Langkawi. Såhär skriver han på sin Instagram en dag efter vinsten:

"I had my most special race ever yesterday at Ironman Malaysia. After beeing runner up in 2014 and 2015 i finally managed to win the race and at the same time take my first full Ironman win! I could not pick a better race to do this at, being based in Asia and with my previous history in this race. The victory yesterday was hard earned and with a strong bike i managed to lead out on the marathon. Knowing this is not a strategy that normally works in this race(making a move to early) and with my limited run milage i was running scared the whole marathon and with only a few kilometers to go Thiago Vinhal with other good runners was closing in fast and was getting closer and less then a minute behind. I was getting bad memories from last year when i was loosing with a sprint finish and it was really emotional to be able to hold off and finally take that win with only a 30sec margin at the end."
